My name is Yovana Rodriguez and I was born and raised in a small town, Toppenish, WA. There, I was exposed to many barriers. Unfortunately, at the age of 6, I had experienced the death of a sibling. My family and I weren’t offered the right resources and it negatively impacted me.
During my time at Central Washington University, I was able to work part time at my campus early learning center. With this being my 5th year in early education, I plan to connect with families on a personal level and genuinely help them succeed in life. My goal is to remind and educate families on the resources that Yakima Valley has to offer. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, pottery and binge watch chick flicks.
